GRAND PRIZE WINNER!!!!
First Coast News was having a contest to meet Matt Fox & Shari Hiller from HGTV who were in town for the Home & Patio
Show.  The winner would have brunch with Matt & Shari, receive an autographed book of theirs and receive 2 tickets to
the event.  So I registered and didn't give it another thought.
Then on March 3rd I received a telephone call and an email notifying me that I had won the grand prize.  How awesome!
William heard the message and thought it was a hoax at first; like I was being lured to some brunch where I would be
asked to spend more money, so he didn't tell me.  Once I checked my email (at midnight) then he mentioned that he
heard the message but thought it was a scam.  Since I had such short notice I didn't have time to make arrangements
for him to come with me or scramble up anyone else to go either.  I went to the brunch alone which was okay.  I met an
awesome couple (Russ & Charlotte) from Georgia who were so nice and the 2 PR ladies were very cool.  It was a
wonderful and refreshing experience.
At the brunch it was just the 6 of us and we had the restaurant to ourselves.  I learned that there were only 3 grand prize
winners from about 500 or so that had registered.  Statistically it wasn't like winning the lottery, but experience wise it
was.  Shari and Matt are so genuine and funny, it was like having brunch with friends; even my new friends Charlotte
and Russ were so welcoming.  It was so awesome!
During the brunch they told us that they would reserve some chairs for us at their show so that we could enjoy it and
continue the experience and afterwards they would take some pictures with us and personalize our books.  I left the
brunch and went to get Kairstin so she could enjoy the event with me.  I was sure glad that they reserved those seats
because when we got there people were standing and some were even told to wait until the next show.
After the show we roamed around looking for some more fun.  We found a clown who was face painting, a race car
game, and the mother load...the Brookstone exhibit that had massaging chairs and other massaging devices.  Woohoo!

Veronica and Chrissy were the representatives.
Kairstin racing at one of the booths that was set up in
the Kids Corner.  This guy was actually set up across
from us last April at Scoutblast.  And he even
remembered our booth and us.  Too cool!
