Above was the rigging and bait
station. We sure kept those guys
busy. And the number of hooks
we went through. There were
about 10-15 kids fishing this day.
These pictures were taken on August 20, 2005. The pond
was full of catfish, minnows, bull frogs, and other insects.
Fishing at the Pond
Above is one of the bull frogs
that interested the kids. After
I walked away, Wil attempted
to catch it. It got away.
Below is Kairstin's frog on a
hook. Her line became
unraveled and they were
working on it. The baited
hook was still in the water.
After several minutes of
watching the worm (the bait)
"move" around, the frog
lunged at it. What a funny site
to see. They were able to
free the frog, fix her line, and
she caught a fish the next time.
After a lot of patience and waiting, it finally paid off. She caught two.

Daniel did fish, but caught nothing. Shelby fished and caught nothing. After an hour Dan was ready to leave; Shelby went home and told her mom and grammie that she was going to go fish where the fish liked her.

Wil had to wait almost 2 hours before his big catch. To the left is his 14" which was a keeper; to the right was a 8", a throw back. He learned how to hold them and release them. Next time he will learn how to clean them and cook 'em.
